Scientist Mr. Murry goes missing after discovering a new planet using a new concept known as tesseract to travel there. Five years later his two children and a friend meet three unusal astral travelers who help them locate their missing father. Then the three children go on the journey to a planet that holds all of the evil in the universe and finds themselves in peril.

This film had a couple of visually beautiful scenes and decent acting but fell short on its ability to hold one’s attention. I found it rather hard to watch, and given that it was geared toward children, its slow pace would make it hard to keep their attention. I was rather disappointed with this film, think of it as a want-a-be mash-up of films such as”Neverending Story”, Wizard of Oz and Interstellar.
