Halloween

Halloween (R) starring Jamie Lee Curtis, Andi Matichak, Judy Greer: Slasher/Horror

Laurie Strode, the survivor of Michael Myers brutal attack, some 40 years ago is once again terrorized as he escapes from an institution. In this 11th film of the Halloween (franchise) films, Micheal Myers returns with vengeance, but this time Laurie Strode is ready for him, or is she?

I’m a big fan of the first Halloween (1978) film it and it continues to be one of my all time favorite slasher films. As a horror film fan, I was eager to see this film so I saw it on the pre-opening day. The film was good but I didn’t feel that it had enough suspense like the old film had. In the first film, Michael seemed to have a purpose for killing his victims, sick as it may have been, in this one he just seems to be on a killing spree. Aside from his infatuation with Laurie, Michael Myers has become a bonafide killer. I may be wrong, but that was my interpretation. Be sure to see the film and let me know what you think. I did love that the original music was used, but I wish there was more of it throughout the movie. Also, I thought it was a kick to see the original font was used at the beginning of the film, just like in the 1978 film.
