Skyscraper ( PG13) starring Dwyane Johnson, Neve Campbell: Drama/Crime 

Dwyane Johnson portrays an ex-FBI agent and war veteran whose family is caught up in a dangerous situation forcing him to come to their rescue. This film had plenty of thrilling and suspenseful scenes. It was a well-executed and exciting movie, think “Die Hard (1988)” and ” Towering Inferno ( 1974)” movie mesh.

The First Purge (R) starring Y’lan Noel, Lex Scott Davis, Joivan Wade: Fantasy/Crime

In this film, we learn why the first purge was started and shown how the initial test was executed in one isolated community. If you have seen the previous “Purge” films you might be somewhat disappointed, at least I was. I think the storyline could have been much more interesting, I felt it lacked suspense. On the bright side, the acting was good.
