Summer weather has arrived and now it’s time to organize your closets and get your summer outfits ready. If you want to be a little trendy this summer you may need to purchase a few pieces for the season. But before you do that, let me give you a” heads up” on what’s hot this summer.

This year’s summer staple print is stripes-shirts, pants, dresses, stripes are everywhere. So if you don’t have anything with stripes, this is the time to purchase something with this print. 

The second summer trend is floral prints-jackets, tops, dresses, and pants. Embroidered roses can be found on almost everything you can think of like jeans, tops, dresses and even shoes. Make sure that you add at least one floral item to your summer wardrobe this season. 

Ultra feminine lace fabric dresses, skirts, tanks, and tops are also a sure win this season. Try pairing lace tops with jeans for a romantic yet edgy feminine look. 

The next must wear look for the summer is the “denim on denim” look. Pair a lightweight denim shirt with a pair of frayed jeans as a perfect on-trend combination, for this is a totally hot trend for summer.  Denim tops can be found in a great variety of styles, from “ruffled off the shoulder tops” to the ultra cool “cold shoulder style”. 

Some additional items that are popular this summer are the kimonos, frayed shorts, and jeans with patches. Distressed jeans continue to be a favorite, as well as, monochromatic outfits, and camouflage jackets. 

There’s no need to purchase a whole new wardrobe, all you need are a few key pieces and then mix and match. The simple technique of changing accessories in an outfit is very easy and is an effective and economical way to update and stretch your wardrobe.
