Pirates of the Caribbean:Dead Men Tell No Tales

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales (PG13) starring Johnny Depp, Javier Bardem, Kaya Scodelano, Geoffrey Rush, Brenton Thwaites. Fantasy/Action

Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp), is once again caught up in a potentially dangerous situation, this time it’s with an old enemy Captain Salazar (Javier Bardem). Jack’s only hope for survival is to find the Trident of Poseidon, the only problem is that he doesn’t know where to find it. With the help of a young alliance and a beautiful astronomer, Jack may find just what he is looking for before it’s too late.

From a writer’s point of view, I believe that the introduction of two young characters to the film was a smart move. For it allows new possibilities for future movie scenarios. Thus, opening the gateway for the Pirate movies to continue to delight their audiences with some unexpected adventures. Although adding new “blood” into the film was a good idea, their choice of the young actors will be determined by the audience. I thought they did a good job in fitting in with the cast.

Needless to say, this film’s leading actor Johnny Depp, once again, did a  fantastic job portraying Captain Jack Sparrow.  All in all, this was a good film, it was filled with humor and plenty of action.

This movie is a summer must see and I give:

1/2
